Acceptance
By accessing or using Mapou at app.mapou.ai, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the platform. These terms form a binding agreement between you and Mapou.
Access and eligibility
Mapou is an invitation-only platform. Access is granted by a Mapou account manager. You must not share your login credentials or allow unauthorised access to your account. You are responsible for all activity under your account.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the platform for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to reverse engineer, copy, or resell the platform or its outputs
- Upload malicious code or interfere with the platform's operation
- Share workspace data or exported reports with third parties without authorisation
- Use Mapou's outputs in a manner that violates the terms of any connected third-party platform (Klaviyo, Meta, Shopify, Google, Reddit, etc.)
Connected platforms
When you authorise Mapou to access a third-party platform (Klaviyo, Meta Ads, Shopify, Google Analytics 4, Reddit, etc.), you confirm that you have the right to grant such access and that you accept that platform's own terms govern your use of the underlying service. Mapou reads only the data scopes documented in our
Privacy Policy and never writes to or modifies a connected account. You may revoke Mapou's access at any time from within the source platform; we will clear synced data within 30 days of revocation, or immediately on request.
Data and content ownership
You retain ownership of all data you connect to Mapou (Shopify, Google Analytics 4, Klaviyo, Meta Ads, Reddit search results, prompt content, brand profile information). AI-generated reports, recommendations, briefs, and artifacts produced by the platform are licensed to you for use within your business. Mapou retains no independent rights to your connected commerce data.
AI outputs
Mapou uses third-party AI models (OpenAI, Anthropic, Perplexity, Google Gemini, xAI / Grok) to generate insights, briefs, drafts, and dashboard content. These outputs are informational and do not constitute legal, financial, or professional advice. AI-generated content may contain errors or inaccuracies; you are responsible for review and for decisions made based on platform data. Mapou does not authorise its AI providers to train models on your data.
Network benchmarks (anonymised)
Mapou computes anonymised aggregate benchmarks (medians and quartiles for metrics such as AI mention rate, schema coverage, and recommendations completed) across all workspaces. Individual workspace values are never exposed. Aggregates are gated until at least three workspaces share a category. By using Mapou you authorise your workspace's metrics to contribute to these aggregates.
Uptime and availability
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Scheduled maintenance, third-party API outages, or infrastructure events may cause downtime. We are not liable for losses resulting from service interruptions.
Payment and subscription
Pricing and payment terms are agreed separately in your client agreement with Mapou. These Terms of Service govern your use of the platform regardless of subscription tier.
Termination
Either party may terminate access with reasonable notice. On termination, your workspace data, integration credentials, and synced third-party data will be retained for 30 days and then permanently deleted, unless you request an export or immediate deletion in advance at
support@mapou.ai.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mapou's liability is limited to the fees paid by you in the three months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, including losses arising from third-party platform outages, API changes, or actions taken by you based on AI-generated content.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
